CIRCUS EXHIBIT

‘PATTERNS OF MOVEMENT’

Circus, Marylebone London 2018

In 2018 I was invited to debut 4 new large-scale collages at Circus in Marylebone, London. For this exhibition I was keen to explore the ‘circus’ metaphor and focused on costume in contemporary circus. I looked at the performers clothing in Cirque Du Soleil, where costume plays an integral part to the theme and storyline of the performance. Batik fabrics with similar shapes and motifs were sourced in London and Ghana. I wanted to marry circus costume with traditional West African attire.

All Artwork is Untitled and created using wax print material, lace trimmings and pencil-crayon on water colour paper. Further details in SHOP.
